Viagra Professional is a preparation applied in symptomatical therapy of erectile dysfunction. It cannot cure the disease but the drug can help men get and keep a firm and durable erection enough for sexual activity.

Active ingredient: sildenafil . When you place an order on our website, you confirm that you are familiar with this medication and its correct doses. Please, consult a doctor to be on the safe side. If any side effects of the drug occur, seek medical help immediately.

Properties

Viagra Professional is an improved formula of Viagra pills. It works by inhibiting PDE5 (phosphodiesterase type 5), thus letting the levels of another chemical called cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate) grow. The latter is secreted only when a man feels sexual arousal and gets adequate sexual stimulation. cGMP takes part in the process of relaxing the smooth muscles in the penis and in the walls of the penile arteries. As the result, the male organ can be filled with enough blood for a strong erection.

The drug works for about 4-5 hours. Besides, the refractory period gets significantly shorter, letting men have several intercourses using only one pill.

Dosage and administration

Viagra Professional is available in 50mg and 100mg dosages. Unlike traditional tablets, Viagra Professional should be taken sublingually. Due to such a way of intake, the harmful effects on the gastric tract get much lower. The drug should be administered 30-60 minutes before planned sexual activity.

It is recommended to start the treatment with a 50mg dose. Based on the patient’s response to the treatment and individual reaction to the drug, the dosing regimen can be changed to 100mg once daily. It is not recommended to apply more than one Viagra Professional tablet per day.

Interaction with other drugs

Sildenafil intake shouldn’t be combined with that of a number of other drugs, as it may result in a severe drop in the blood pressure numbers, a decrease in the drug’s efficiency or increase the risks for side effects. These medications are as follows:

  • Nitrate- and nitrite-containing drugs;
  • HIV-protease inhibitors;
  • Ketoconazole, Itraconazole, and other azole antifungals;
  • Riociguat;
  • Amlodipine;
  • Erythromycin and some other antibiotics;
  • Alpha-blockers.

Talk with your healthcare provider to learn about all potentially dangerous interactions with Viagra Professional.

Intake with caution

Certain categories of patients with ED should be closely monitored during the therapy as their risks of adverse reactions are higher if compared to healthy individuals. Inform your healthcare provider about all the health problems you currently have (especially heart health issues). It is also important to tell the doctor about the medicines and herbal products you use.

It is not advised to drink alcohol when on Viagra Professional. Still, small amounts of spirits (up to 3 drinks a day) are relatively safe.

Viagra Professional doesn’t protect from sexually transmitted diseases.

Contraindications

Viagra Professional is contraindicated in:

  • Men who are hypersensitive to sildenafil or other components of the drug;
  • Males with severe heart health issues, which make excessive physical strain dangerous;
  • Individuals whose blood pressure is lower than 90/50mmHg;
  • Patients with NAION;
  • Young men under 18 years old;
  • Penis scarring or deformation;
  • Liver or kidneys malfunction;
  • Unstable blood pressure;
  • Bleeding disorders;
  • Blood cell disease;
  • A recent history of heart attack, stroke or heart surgery;
  • Priapism in medical history;
  • Women.

The drug should never be used together with grapefruit juice as it interferes with sildenafil clearance as both are metabolized by CYP3A4enzyme. This can lead to its excessively high levels in the blood flow. Thus, the risk of overdose grows.

Side effects

About a third of all sildenafil users experience at least one of the drug’s side effects. However, they are mostly light and go away on their own. Common Viagra Professional unwanted reactions are:

  • Headache;
  • Flushing;
  • Stuffy nose;
  • Diarrhea;
  • Vision changes (blurred vision, double vision, color blindness).

In addition to that, one may experience dizziness, nausea, chest pain, low blood pressure, and a number of other symptoms. Please, contact your attending doctor in the case of any serious or lasting reactions.

Overdose

The symptoms of overdose are no different from the common side effects, yet their incidence and the severity may be higher.

Missed dose

This preparation is not intended for daily intake. Therefore, there’s no possibility of missing the dose.

Storage

Viagra Professional should be kept away from children and pets in a dry place at a temperature of 20 – 25°C.

Toxicity

Sildenafil hasn’t shown any potential for toxicity during clinical trials if used in the recommended doses.
