Generic Cialis can be used as a daily treatment or as an on-demand pill for getting rid of the erectile dysfunction symptoms. It promotes a strong erection, which lets men have normal sexual intercourse.

Active ingredient: tadalafil. By making an order, you confirm that you are familiar with this active substance and know how to take it correctly. A consultation with a doctor is recommended before you start the treatment. At occurrence of any unwanted effects, contact your healthcare provider.

Properties

Generic Cialis is considered a drug of choice for about 73% of men with ED. Due to a very long duration of action of Generic Cialis (up to 36 hours), men using it claim that they feel less psychological pressure from the ED.

The mechanism of action of Generic Cialis is similar to that of other PDE5 inhibitors. It helps the relaxation of the corpora cavernosa of the penis and induces the dilation of the penile artery. The result of it is a significant improvement of the blood supply to the penis and, thus, a firm and durable erection. Yet, to see the effect, a man needs to be sexually stimulated.

Dosage and administration

To set the right dosing regimen, you have to visit a doctor. Generic Cialis is the only PDE5 inhibitor, which can be taken either daily or when it is needed. If you’ve decided on a regular intake, then 2.5mg and 5mg dosage strengths should be used. The drug should be taken orally with a glass of water. Generic Cialis can be taken regardless of meals. There should be a 24-hour gap between the pills. Such a dosing regimen is preferable for men with a regular sexual life and those who experience some side effects using higher doses of the drug.

Men who have sex occasionally or 2 to 3 times a week should better take Generic Cialis only when it is needed. Take a 10mg or 20mg pill about an hour before planned sexual activity. Different men may have a different response to the drug. In some cases, the effect may be seen in as little as 17 minutes, whereas some patients may need up to 2 hours to get an erection.

Interaction with other drugs

It is dangerous to take Generic Cialis together with nitrate-containing drugs and Riociguat. Their interaction can result in a severe fall in the blood pressure, which may have lethal outcomes. Besides, Generic Cialis shouldn’t be used with:

  • Alpha agonists;
  • Macrolide antibiotics;
  • Antacids;
  • Calcium channel blockers;
  •  Antiretrovirals;
  • Diuretics.

This list can be extended so talk with your doctor for more details.

Intake with caution

Please, inform your healthcare provider about any health conditions you may have or have had in your medical history. It is important to tell about:

  • Heart disease;
  • Elevated blood pressure;
  • Liver or kidneys dysfunction;
  • Prostate health problems;
  • Stomach ulcer;
  • Bleeding disorders.

Intake of alcohol when on Generic Cialis may cause a serious drop in the blood pressure so it is advised to limit the consumption of spirits to not more than 3 drinks a day.

Contraindications

There are not a lot of contraindications to Generic Cialis, yet they still exist. They are as follows:

  • An allergy to tadalafil or any other ingredient of the drug;
  • NAION;
  • Penis deformation;
  • Health conditions, which make physical activity dangerous to life;
  • Low blood pressure;
  • Women and children.

Grapefruit juice can affect the clearance of tadalafil and thus increase its concentration in the blood. In this regard, a man is likely to experience the symptoms of overdose.

Side effects

Generic Cialis rarely causes any adverse reactions. Most common of them are:

  • Myalgia;
  • Back pain;
  • Headache;
  • Nasal stuffiness;
  • Facial flushing;
  • Stomach discomfort;
  • Heartburn.

These reactions are short-termed and go away without medical help. However, if any of them persist or get worse, contact your attending doctor. In the case of more serious reactions to Generic Cialis (e.g. chest pain, vision loss, arrhythmia), emergency medical help is needed.

Overdose

Intake of excessively high doses of Generic Cialis may result in overdose symptoms. In most cases, they show through the common side effects of Generic Cialis, but the likelihood of their appearance and the severity of the reactions may be higher. It is important to report to the nearest clinic as soon as possible. Symptomatic treatment is needed to manage Generic Cialis overdose.

Missed dose

If you use Generic Cialis daily, it is advised to take it at the same time each day. But if you have forgotten to take a pill, do it as soon as you remember. Never double the prescribed dose to catch up. Skip the intake if it’s almost time for the next pill.

Storage

There are no special requirements for Generic Cialis storage. You should only keep the drug out of children’s reach.

Toxicity

In general, tadalafil is not toxic if used in therapeutic doses. However, isolated cases of hepatotoxicity have been reported.
